As always Kozol tells the truth. It will resonate with you if you were schooled in 50s, 60s, 70s and on. It tells the truth about my schooling. I admire him for being straight forward with the truth, ie in Savage Inequalities his publisher want a softer word than Savage. To his strength he kept the word as it savage what was done to children in the name of "educating" them.In this 1990 edition you must admire him for reflectioning on his perspective in his writing and attitude toward society. You should read his last book An End to Inequality. At 91 he still tells the truth!
