I purchased this cartridge for my Dell 1100 on September 11, 2011. At that time, the seller was an Amazon store called GreatToners. Today, the seller is Vivamart and the price is several dollars lower. I feel like I'm standing on quicksand. The GreatToners cartridge arrived in good order and was packaged well. Everything looked just fine. My old cartridge still had some life in it, so I put the replacement aside and didn't install it for several months, when the old one ran out of toner.I had only printed about ten pages with the GreatToners cartridge before the 90-day warranty expired. Then it jammed solid and the printer stopped working.I contacted GreatToners and, due to how little I had used it, they graciously agreed to replace the defective cartridge even though it was out of warranty. They emailed me a free shipping label, and when I notified them of the return shipment they sent me a free replacement. The free replacement cartridge had different packaging and obviously wasn't from the same remanufacturer as the first one. Toner was leaking out of the cartridge, and I had to clean it before I installed it. In doing so, I saw that some of the joints between the plastic components didn't fit all that well.I installed the free replacement cartridge, printed several pages, and then the printer stopped working. I removed the cartridge, and it was jammed worse than the first one -- so bad that the electrical fuse on the cartridge had blown. The cartridge and inside of the printer were dusted with toner, and a small black, plastic tab fell out of the printer. In short, the second replacement was a total piece of junk.I emailed GreatToners and, because the 90-day warranty had expired, they offered me a full refund if I'd return the cartridge at my expense and pay a 15% restocking fee. I did the math and concluded that I wouldn't get much of a net refund anyway, and had wasted enough time on cheap, rebuilt cartridges.I bought a new cartridge from a local office supply store, and it's working just fine.Lesson learned: remanufactured toner cartridges aren't worth the hassle or the expensive damage they might do to your printer.I’ve had the cartridge for a couple weeks and 20 or so prints made. It works fine. Unfortunately absolutely no instructions or option for recycling it! I would not buy again.I waited for a while to review this cartridge because I wanted to see how it held up compared to the cartridge I had in printer from Dell. Initially I thought that what you make up for in price you lose in print capacity and I wanted to see just how many pages this cartridge would last through compared to the cartridge from Dell (costing close to $80) which promised at least 2,000 pages.I have to say this product lived up to my expectations and then some. Not only did it work perfectly with my Dell 1110 printer but the ink quality is excellent. I am a college student as well as a student-teacher and this cartridge has lasted through 3 semesters of term papers, worksheets, and lesson plans. I'm not sure whether or not I have quite reached the 2,000 page mark yet, but I know I've at least made it over 1,000 pages and it's still working well. Considering the price and how well this cartridge has worked I will never go back to buying directly from Dell. You can't beat the price and the product lasts.I am a professional IT person. I was more than a little surprised that there was no recycling process on this item. There was no return label. There was no web site where a return label could be printed. I can toss mine into the bulk printer recycling pile at work, so this isn't really a problem for me. YMMV.Other than that it work fine. I have not had it very long and have not printed more than 30 or 40 pages, but the quality of the print is OK.I bought this cartridge and unitl now it is giving me good quality prints. It is difficult to say right now how many copies I will get or how long it will keep giving me good quality prints until it stops. I can say prints are of good quality and the price I paid is quite reasonable rather than buying the cartridge with high price tag from the original printer company. I can say I am satisfied with the purchase. The only snag was, I did not get it within the mentioned delivery time.I recently purchased a used Dell Laser Printer 1100 which came with a toner cartridge installed. Based on the excellent reviews I read here, I ordered two of these cartridges for backup to a large-ish printing job I was about to start, having no idea of how much toner remained in the printer's "included" cartridge. I ended up getting 300 perfect 2-sided copies out of it before the toner ran out. I then installed one of my new carts and it printed the first sides of 50 pages just as perfectly. When I turned the paper over to print the back sides, almost immediately the printer started putting 1.5"-long horizontal smudges -- some quite pronounced -- at the very top of the page. Nothing I could do seemed to help, so I traded new cart #1 for the second new cart. Same result. Since the original cart had no such problem, I have to lay the smudge problem at the feet of these new re-manufactured carts. I have no idea what kind of problem/malfunction could produce the smudging I was getting, but would caution against purchasing these carts if you intend to do any two-sided printing. One-sided seems to be fine. The cartridge I ordered was fulfilled by Amazon and came from Pacific Direct Source Group Inc. Tthe Dell 1100 Laser recognized it and printed perfectly. I see no smears, the printing is evenly dark across the page like the original OEM cartridge. My experience on a variety of items is to always watch where the source is. So remember, this is a review for the cartridge fullfilled by Amazon and Sold by: Pacific Direct Source Group Inc. The only brand name on the cartridge box is "Premium Laser Toner Cartridge." Place the item in your shopping cart and then view the order to see where the item is being sourced from.
